WTH! I got a damn virus on my computer and it jepordizing my entire HD! Do you have any idea how much I didn't back up? Try 100% of my stuff that wasn't backed up. The Virus is the "Boot Sector Virus" it attacks the OS boot up process. I dunno where it hid in my puter. If anyone can help *cough* Refrax *cough* please post here. If you frequent the mIRC #Cheetaholics room please tell the room, of my comps peril.

From my lame mans terms, I have understood the following.
• Does not let the virus run. Windows will not boot.
• Handles everything in the bios.
• Has it's own anti-virus (I don't believe this replaces what you should have on the OS.)
and I'm told it simply works. Anything beyond that, well, I hope you can figure out. Nobody was really in the chat tonight.
I should probably mention that if your OS is porked even after cleansing, that you try to get ahold of an external storage device and start saving crap, then get a fresh wipe and install. If it wont save.. well lesson learned about not saving stuff, m?

Sorry Limey, I jumped the gun. Techsupport was telling me $140 for support with no guaruntee that it would work. My Bro then stepped forward saying he had a similar virus and dodged the complete obliteration of his memory. My private time on the Family time was limited and I wasn't very smart by not checking back on this topic. I will check this link out once I am on my feet. Now I have to teach my computer how to get a internet connection -_-

Limey how does the Boot CD work. I was reading the instructions and It wants me to run the OS CD and Copy my drivers. Mind you they are all in my now dead again computer. Yes the virus self preserved itself and now I am unable to boot again. Good news is I back up my existing files the night before. If Ref has any advice please tell him to contact me thru Xbox Live. I atleast still have internet for the time being -_-
