Here are some suggestions on what you can do with your old computer.

1) Boat anchor.
2) Take it apart and use it as wall art
3) Install a 3d editing and rendering studio and create a feature length live action animation blend movie that is of such high quality it will feature 3 big named stars and be carried by Paramount.

;)

Seriously. Some of you keep your ear to the gound pretty well about the 'b-movies' that are low budget and less known. This one I found out about on Slashdot. The thing that cought my eye is this guy used a Macintosh IIci someone gave him as payment for a job he did to render many of the 3d animation in the scenes. The film he produced has been picked up by paramount and some vary large names are staring in the film.

Makes me feel humbled considering I was thinking of a major overhaul of my 1.4 ghz machine.

For those of you who don't know a IIci is a 33mhz 68030 processor with a default config of 4meg of ram and 20meg hd. This guy had to have maxed the ram to 64 meg and put in a new SCSI (or adapted IDE) hd.

Gives me hope I can shill off some of the 5 machines I have in storage in my basement. ^^
