It's nice to see Crush again..and I'm glad she has chosen to remain in her awesome form to keep them inmates from getting any bright ideas!

The possibility of four different storylines converging in the next issue...Just can't wait!

-Nice touch with Crush's Prisoner # endding in XXL

- So Danielle is an attorney, never gave much thought to what she did as a day job.

- Debbie's use of Dragon fear to stop Xane from going after the doughnuts while ordering comics, on company time no less, was priceless. As was Xane going into Mihoshi mode afterwards.

-Either Debbie is pretty short or the scale on the kneeling pic is off as if Xane were standing Debbie would only come up to about her crouch. Mmmm... Debbie and Xane portfolio. (sorry train of thought was highjacked. Now back to the review )

- Looks like Stryyp isn't completely clueless about Brit's take over and it looks like Great Grandpa is useing magic to get Tif to stay sleeping

- Looks like Luan may have truely transended But there still may be a dark side lurking in her art, but so far her road looks better then it had.

- Jane seems to be either a silver or maybe iron dragon but it's clear that she loves being on her power trip. She also has very reptilian eyes like a certain lady in the UFF, but oddly none of the other dragons seem to. Hmmm.

- Fuantleroy shows again that he is the thinking dragon's villain. "gloat and terrorize after you've won"

- now I wonder what Array is up to.

- So Array is one of Exthilion's constructs makeing her Monty's sister in a way and possably the fix for his true love's problem. but how does this mesh with her story in v2 #50 that she was a med expariment and that Tirant freed? On a side note the Rock Giant Array in v2 #50 looks quite a bit like Crush

- I love Six, I've always had a hard time seeing her as on of the bad guys. Maybe it's her mousy personality. Of the three I could see her going good the easiest. Unlike Jane I don't think her main reason for wanting to be a full dragon had to do with the power it gave her more likely it was that drakes can't have children.

Issue 55 was great, I'm not sure if I like the fact of Array being a creation of the dragons,but we'll see how fred explains it (is it just me or is gold digger getting TOO interconnected, I mean, it's cool that things work and merge together but as of recently its been alot.(if the dragons recognize Stryyp's artifacts i might get upset) its almost starting to take away from the shock when you find out some aspects are connected) anyway....

some things to ponder...

I think there might be an inside man at the prison; when the alarm went of the guard almost slipped and identified the threat as a dragon, but caught himself to hide it.

what the heck are agent m's powers? I'm hoping it's more that just the standard superman combo, something that would actually be different and tie in his old hero name, miricle.

I think D'Bra shrunk since we last saw her. she was huge(i'm just marking that one up to artistic refining though)

Why would Array send those two forms for an escape. The mage I can see for magic support, but what can the sheriff do? (maybe it we'll be explained next issue)

O.o adding more torture, eh Fred. So does that mean Slasher's the former gaurdian, which is what I thought seing how Aray was an experiment. Then again perhaps the technology involved creating her was similar to how a dragon makes a gaurdian. Though I feel we have so many questions to tackle at the moment, including how Brit's body was taken, I mean it's an effect on the soul so how come her family (excluding stryyp) seems to have no awareness to what happened(I'm sure there's a reason I'm just curious as to how). Also what exactly is Fauntleroy's plans and are they solely his(Love #6 & #38's new outfits and we thought it was a trick for Ayane not to fall out *drools*). Some more questions come to mind, but if I'm right to raise those questions may ruin the suprise(s).

Several things....

One: Number Six...er, Jane, might just be of the tribe of Iron. When I first saw the two-page spread I thought, "Damn! Dreadwing's back?" Then I saw the dialog at the bottom right...

Two: It's going to be incredibly hard to keep Array in any form of prison as long as a single persona of hers is loose, which means that Tyrant could also be escaping sometime soon...

Three: As for the size difference between D'bra and Jane...Dragons do gain size along with power as they grow older... Look at Grampa Exthilion... HE'S HUGE!!! D'bra could be older than Jane... Just a thought

Four: The funky eye-thing could be the only thing to distinguish someone with draconic blood from a normal person... The only reason Monty and Faunty don't have those eyes is simple. Monty is a construct made from his old 'human' form, and Faunty was polymorphed into human form by the Dragon Elders. Draconic blood could also explain why Ayane causes everyone around her to 'freak-out' with a glance. Somewhere in Ayane's past...perhaps even one of her parents...was a dragon.

The only thing is Jane is the only one of the dragons with eyes like that. The only people to have the reptilian eyes are Ayane, human Jane(and it looks like only after her upgrade), the Amonians ( the robot from v 2 #21, and the one that raided Yl'Dahjim), and maybe Sith and Dreadbody (Drey's looked nomal)

Luan has until sundown to get ready for her trial...a quick swig of that healing potion and she'll be good to go!


How did Array's cell mate know who she was? She seemed surprized.


What is Agent M's and Princess D'bra's connection? I wonder how they hooked up. She seems to take her assignments very seriously and always addresses Agent M as "sir". I thinks she kinda likes him. ;)

Array's cellmate worked for Tyrant, so she probably got word via him.

I'm pretty sure Debbie [i]is[/i] that short, and Xane that tall. Nice portfolio idea, btw. A whole 'Agency Zero' folio would be pretty cool for an equal-opportunity cheese/beefcake, too.

I wonder if this means someone other than Gina has found a mymior and accessed it's database. This would explain how someone other than Exthilion could "build" Array. Given that Array can destroy anyone of her physical adjuncts, I think it would be pretty much impossible for Fauntleroy to capture her.

okay, FINALLY got a good copy of the book.
I had to leave town for a while, right on tues, and so I missed this when the comics came in here. And very FEW stores carry more then the usual marvel/DC/usual derivitive junk that you could get normally on the newsstand, except one place, dreamhaven, which looks like it's gone downhill as far as comics go since I was last there, and the copy I picked up completely started over after the page where luan is told about how her match went.
Need to bug AP if they take back screwed up copies, or if I need to go through the store I bought it from.

anyway...

Nice cover, though I notice it seemed a touch... washed out compared to what fred posted on his board a while back. Just something to note.
For somereason, I imagined crush as haveing brown hair, not blonde.
Slasher is one of Array's components, I guess that's why the word baloons and exposition boxes were placed there, to hide the pink.
Were those two in the gang that was busted up by avenger, brit and genn way back when?
Okay, here's the flip side, I thought Deniele carter had Blonde hair, not brown.
As far as the interchange between Xane and Debrah, I thought that the donut was snatched from her hand somehow and put back. Someone else said she used fear or something?
Also, I notice Deberah has a more... asian quality about her now.
Gives her an interesting feel now.
And yes, strype's instincts are on par, just his other qualities are getting in the way. I wonder though, if gramps is gonna have such an easy time with... 'the baby'.

As far as Luan's story goes, she's apparently treading new ground here for her training. As in, she knows the dark side, skipped along it's edges, but not fallen over. If she had stayed angry, and even now, if pushed to far, could easilly fall off, and become failed, in one way or another. BUt she's danceing the blade, and that's where she will shine best at.
As far as 38 goes, (and I'll have to agree with Faluntlery on this one, I'm not gonna call her jane, or any other name untill she damn well EARNS it. besides, jane really doesn't fit her) yeah, she's haveing fun. For now. Although when someone with power shows up, she's not all super bad ass dragon now, is she. She's starting to gain a high level of arrogance that was just under the hood while she was in wyrm form, while 6 seems more... conciencious.
As far as her eyes go, they're rounded, not diamond like Ayane's are.
That Array is a great dragon spell explains a lot. The ability to make bodies and personalities to go with them has allways been pretty heavy duty, and seemed kinda much for some genetic explotation group to just ...come up with.
What's more likely happend there was the found her somehow, realized her ability, and then imprisoned her, and used each and every body she was able to create for some experiment or another, or even better, a way to develop unlimited minions. Now that's probably why she was all traumatized.

The REAL conflict is now that all the three factions have converged.
The dragons want Array, and they might be able to get her on thier side for a time if they proport themselves as 'rescuers'. If they let loose that they just want her for what she is, that'll cause a shift in her alliances, in that the need to get away from the dragons will be great, but they will also not want to be captured by Zero group. Although it may come down to a lesser of two evils as it were. This should be interesting if fred is able to keep one dynamic going, and then shift things by a judicious application of slipped knowledge.
Only thing about this, I see this as running 3 issues. Maybe in conjunction with what's going on with the elves.
Still, it's looking like fred is getting backed up on stories again. The charlotte issue, and the return of Madrid look like they're gonna get pushed back. At least if he wants to do the Lich king thing. THough it does look like Luan and Gar's story is gonna pop up soon as well.
I wonder if thier story might mirror what Wex was gonna do with Julia and Theo in GD-incantaion.

Noa, it was Shreiker that was part of Array not Slasher, and yes slasher was one of the members of CSX that Advenger and co. took down.

The main reason I too the excanchge to be a use of fear is that Xane was shakeing after what to me looked like Debbie just looking at her.

Ayane's eyes tend to just be the slits like 38's had in this issue execept for extreem close ups, which 38 didn't have in this issue. The only weird thing is that she was the only one of the dragons to have the lizzard eyes. I've only brought it up because it seemed out of placeand things like that tend to have meaning.

Thoughts & Junk

Loving Xane and Debbie. They remind me a little of Mihoshi and Kiyone now (*quietly stabs Noike*), especially with the way Xane went all starry-eyed at Debbie’s disapproving glare. ^_^ Definitely want to see more of them!

Disappointed in “Jane”, but not too surprised. Most bullies were picked on themselves at one point, after all. Still, I think I understand why she feels the need to vent so much anger... clearly nobody's ever taken the girl out clothes shopping! Looks like she got her clothes from Ayane's ½ price spring-cleaning yard sale. I mean seriously, for the first time in her life she’s got (what she thinks is) power, and she’s wearing stuff that looks more than ever like Fauntelroy picked it out? Yeesh.

Speaking of ol’ Faunty, boy does he ever lay it on thick. And judging from the way he criticized Jane, he has a short memory. I seem to recall a certain dragon that’s gotten his butt whupped on multiple occasions because he stopped to gloat or announce he was going to attack. Tch.

Everyone loves 6. Nothing more to say about her.

Ayane's eye's looking like Jane's? *Looks closer.* Maybe, but my gut instinct says "red herring".

Another thought. Tirant said that he rescued Array from an evil company, if I remember right. I wonder if he didn't perhaps mean… clan? ^_~

The Lich King gives me chills, but I’m wondering just what the heck he’s up to. Last time around all he really wanted was a living body, so that he could keep replenishing his aura. Well… he’s got one. Now what?

Loved the fact that Monty won. Was starting to get worried that all the “earth fighters” were wimps compared the people in Jade. Obviously a few can hold their own ~_^.

And that has to be one of the funniest last panels in GD history. ^_^
