Noa finishes reading... sits with jaw dropped open.
I guess this is no more nice gold digger issues?

I think the lastest issue (#64) indicates GD will end but this may still take *years* to finish! Hopefully, Wexal's "GD:I" may see the light of day (I hope so!) or perhaps a new series may start once GD concludes. Of course, this is PURE conjecture on my part. I can still hope, right? =)
In retrospect, this clarifies the conclusion to "Quagmire USA". Fred can now tell his stories on a universal scale without conflicting with anything in NHS.
On the other hand, what the @#$% do I know?! =)

| Based on comments Fred has made, I'd say GD:The Next Generation is a sure thing.

| That's just my name for it. But Fred has mentioned saving some plotlines for the next generation, so it seems like a good choice. :)

I'm just guessing but perhaps he's hedging his bets. Last I knew he was really keen on doing more legacy. But he would like to find an 'end' for GD. Perhaps he's leaving things so he can re-start things if he wants?

.ps Didn't Madrid rock! She's very cool as part Gina. I wonder if she's just as evil, or simply determined to show she's smart too.

| Nobody in GD is really evil, with the possible exception of the creatures in the Dragon Pharoah's tower. Self-centered, unconcerned with the suffering of others, ends justifies the means, etc, but not actually evil.

| I asked Fred about it at SDCC. After GD wraps up (at issue #111) there will be a brief hiatus so he can work on some other projects. And then (and I quote): "GD: Next Generation, with Tiffany".

Funny thing is, I didn't see the Princess Lydia thing coming. Someone did suggest to me that Lydia and Sherisa resembled each other somewhat, but I gotta admit, I thought that was just a coincidence.
Mentioning the next gen thing,
I can't wait to see if Tanya or the Mall Rats have children that end up interacting with Tiffany.

I am so glad that the series isn't going to just "GO POOF!" ala battle chassers...
(*Don't cry cause it's gone, smile because it was.)
anywho. this is my first post IN A REALLY LONG TIME.
I only came back because I feared the end of GD. But after reading this thread, I see I have nothing to worry about.
has anyone else thought about the way fred uses characters?
you know, how he expands the world through characters,
how he adds more possibilities,
more entanglements,
I began to realize that fred may have meant for a certain were-cheetah to be the main character all along... with a supporting cast.Perhaps his goals will be realized in the next generation.
I remember BIG arguments about Furries and how the media presents anthropomophic characters as BDSM XTRME freky fetish insanity...
in advertantly, GD's successfull run may have cleared a path through all the haters and self WRONGtious (*they aren't right, their wrong) for a single female were-krynn hybrid to be the Sole star of a succesful comic book and anime video series.

afterall, If gina did manage stop working, finnaly find love, and somewhat settle down to have a child, to be a good mom wouldn't she have to give up risking her own life....
I have to say this series of comics has broken every stereo type that marvel clings to. and that is a good thing.
we have seen characters:
grow old (and grow young...)
get married,
have kids,
find jobs,(*taco hut anyone?)
get a ride, (buy or build a mode of transit. mostly self built by gina and brianna)
Face down their worst personal demons and their rivals and their enemies, and not always win.
we have even seen characters become twist evil versions of themselves
perhaps a few even died (*montara twins with their psi boosted egos and their power mad ambittions*)or did they...
I know of one that had his spine "Crushed"...
there are so many characters, (even cosmic enemies) out there that could have ramifications and or off spring for the second series.
I can only begin to imagine.
P.s. perhaps instead of having a child, gina might be a spinster married only to her work. wistfully dreaming of men that won't even give her a second glance, because they could only wait so long. Regrets? maybe a few. forgive herself? sure, afterall it's not the destinations that life takes you to -it's the journey.
