The chatters were nestled all snug in their spots. The channel was packed, the lava pit hot.
And I with my fanfic, and also a snack, waited to hear How Customers Attack.
I was PMing with StealthKat and Illy, when out in the channel, I saw something silly.
I flipped to that window and turned on the log, and had another sip of the rich-tasting eggnog.
My trigger had sounded from X's old greeting.. of a newbie who I figured soon would be fleeing.
The fellow hung on, I was quite impressed; with great staying power he must've been blessed.
I held onto my breath, and waited a minute, for the newbie response. I'm sure you've all seen it.
It didn't come, and I was surprised. I then saw his nick, couldn't believe my eyes.
He typed out a laugh, and got right down to biz. "I'm here for one reason: You know what it is."
"For mdg, we have.. a computer that works. For StealthKat, a day without any jerks."
"Illy receives a big tacklehug, and Wexal, let's see.. the Y2K bug?"
