Julia impatiently waits for Carla, Luan and her daughters to return. Carla returns drunk with a few men, and Julia almost blows her top at her. She wants to go look for them, but Theo convinces her to let him and Carla do it.

Meanwhile, back at the now ensuing fight between G'nolga, Luan, Rook and Gar... Gar and Luan seem to be getting their butts kicked. Rook keeps the others (Gina, Bri) from interfering in the fight.

Outside, the rest of the edge guard, manage to deal with the rest of Rook's undead guards, just as Carla and Theo arive. They descide to attack the fortress to get the others from within.

Back at the fight.. Luan and Gar have been faking their moves, and manage to actualy land a few hits on G'nolga... but she realizes this, and gives them quite a thrashing. She is about to finish them off, when Peebochu v.3 attacks, but manages to be speared by Rook just before he hits. This sends Bri over the edge, and she goes after Rook. He pulls his teleport thing, appearing behind her... but guess who is behind him? Sheila who has now regained conciousness, and freezes him with Ice Fang.

Bri gets to take her revenge for Peebochu, shattering Rook into many pieces. This whole distraction gives Gina enough time to get one of Bri's guns trained on G'nolga... she relizes this confrontation is over, and leaves.

Theo and the others are about to break in, when the others come out. Some head off to go and talk about what is going on... while Gar and Luan head off to the healers, now properly being introduced to each other.. ( and, well.. Luan seems a bit smitten with Gar ^_^).

It is the next morning, and Gar and Luan wake in the healers. Gar is still pretty hurt (do to the dwarven Iron). At this point, it is OBVIOUS that Luan has a crush on Gar. Sheila arives, filling Gar in a bit on what is going on. Gar wants to leave, but Sheila makes him stay (not that Luan would complain ^_^). Gar pulls out a picture of Brit, and tells the story of how he first went adventuring with Julia, how Julia had told him of Britanny and tried to set them up, but he chickened out.

Meanwhile Julia is facing her next battle, against one of the 10 weapons masters of Jade. She starts off a bit cocky, and he slaps her to remind her of that. They keep fighting, and he keeps forcing Julia back and back, almost knocking her out of the ring, mulitple times. At the last minute, she realizes he is a Chi user, focusing all his energy into an attack or defence he was ready for, so she made an attack that he wouldn't have guessed her to do. With that, she shatters his visor.. and he gives the battle to Julia, being glad to be beaten by such a worthy oponent.

Round One! Fight!

As Rhaoton leaves from the tournement, he is aproached by a few people... Shadow elves.. They possess a crystal thing, the Dain, which is a powerful artifact... and they tell him that there are a few more of similar ones. He is told that he must find them and distroy them.

The final fight begins... Julia vs G'nolga.. The two are very evenly matched, both landing many hard blows against each other. Theo worries though.. because with both of them, when they push themselves beyond physical endurance, beyond pain, beyond fatigue... they begin to enjoy it...

Onoli is meditating.. and while doing so... talks to Gaja? o.O But Gaja makes him return to the others, somehow through the Jasper... which for some reason... looks JUST like the Dain. The Edge Guard are trying to detect when Array and the others are leaving.

Array and them are heading towards the place where the Ziggurat's are stored. They carry an object with them. It was the thing that drew the energy from the mages, and brough the Golem to life... but still retained much power. It is called the Bain.. and looks just like the Jasper and the Dain..

Bum bum BUM.......

Julia ".. but when you went out of your way to include my girls in our fight... my children..my BABIES!! You crossed the @*#ing LINE!!"

Tirant and the others, arive at the chamers of the Zigguats, as the fight with G'nolga and Julia rages on. Julia is disarmed, and it appears that G'nolga will gain the upper hand, but Julia soon disarms her as well, bringing it back to an even fight.

Back in the chambers, Hanza recognises some of the guards at the temple, it's the Edge Guard is disguise (obviously pretty bad disguise, if they were found out :P ). Array brings in some of her other personalities, to help fight against the Edge Guard. They are no match for the Edge Guard, and are getting beaten badly. Until Onoli does a special attack, that somehow gives Tirant more control over the Bain.. and manages to get rid of the Edge Guard. Most think that they were disentigrated, but he says, that they were actualy drawn INTO the bain, just as all those mages were (they were not distroyed).

Meanwhile, back at the fight, Julia has G'nolga in a unbreakable headlock. An astral projection of Tirant, appears infront of G'nolga (only that she can see), and offers her the bains power to help her. She does not want to.. it is not honorable.. but it is the only was she will win. so she accepts. As G'nolga breaks the hold.. Julia knows she screwed.

We start off, learning a bit more of the history of Jade from the shadow elves. We find out that then the shadows attacked Jade, no magic could stop them... only a special warrior could.. a weapn given to them by the shadow elves. But the elves were not the ones that created the weapons.. but who?

Back to the fight.. Julia's not faring very well AT ALL agains the secretly powered G'nolga. Gina detects this, and her and Brianna head off to do something about it.

They arive at the temple of the Ziggurats, to try and stop Tirant and the others (who Tirant has just proposed to Array). To helf defend against them, Tirant gives Hanza a set of armor from Bain. It is very futuristic looking.. and is called Multiplicto. (Hmm...it has two shinny spheres floating around.. called multiplicto... any relation to Subtracto?... hmmmm).

Dr Diggers arrives, but was a BAD idea. The 'captain' in charge of the temple.. which we find out is ALSO the enchantment meant to guard it..and also is called Lei.. Seance's dad... trys to get Theo to leave, but it is too late. Tirant uses his magic to recharge the bain, and to teleport Dr Diggers and Gina and Bri inside the bain.

Right at the end of the issue, is Dr Diggers comming to. He is there with Gina, Bri, and some of the Edge Guard and mages that got teleported also into the Bain. It apears to be a GAINT complex, of some sort of technological origin.
